K-Dee
Darrell L. Johnson, also known as K-Dee, formerly Kid Disaster and D-Rock-D, (born May 24, 1969), is an American rapper most known for his album ''Ass, Gas, or Cash (No One Rides for Free)''. His first two singles were released under the name D-Rock-D. Those two songs "My Fresh Nissan" and "Killer Daytons" were released in 1986 and 1987 and appear on the compilation album ''West Coast Rap-thology''. He then came into wider prominence in the hip hop scene with fellow West Coast rapper, Ice Cube in the group C.I.A. He became a part of Cube's entourage Da Lench Mob and made appearances on other Lench Mob member albums including Mack 10, Dazzie Dee, Westside Connection, and Kausion. ''Ass, Gas or Cash (No One Rides for Free)'' is the only solo studio album by the American rapper K-Dee. It was released on November 15, 1994, via Lench Mob Records. Recording sessions took place at Lench Mob Studios in Los Angeles, California, with producers Ice Cube, Madness 4 Real, Vic C., 88 X Unit, Shaquille, D Mac and Laylaw. It features guest appearances from Bootsy Collins, Morris Day, Ice Cube, Ayana Anderson and Snow. The album peaked at number 33 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 20 on the Heatseekers Albums chart in the United States. Dazzie Dee is an American West Coast hip hop rapper and record producer who has collaborated and affiliated with artists such as Suga Free, Mausberg, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, Shade Sheist, K-Dee, Kool G Rap, Coolio, Mixmaster Spade, Yo-Yo, Da Lench Mob, and many more. He released two solo albums in 1996, ''Where's My Receipt?'' and ''The Re-Birth'', with the most known singles "Knee Deep", "Everybody Wants To Be A Gangsta", and "Where You From?". ''Planet of da Apes'' is the second studio album by American hip hop group Da Lench Mob. The group's final album, it was released on November 1, 1994, via Street Knowledge/Priority Records. Its title is a reference to ''Planet of the Apes''. Audio production was handled by Ice Cube, Mr. Woody, Dr. Jam, Madness 4 Real, Quincy Jones III, and 88 X Unit. It featured guest appearances from K-Dee, Mack 10 and Yo-Yo. The album peaked at number 81 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Production J-Dee's vocals were erased from the album after he went to prison. ''Bow Down'' is the debut studio album by American West Coast hip hop supergroup Westside Connection. It was released on October 22, 1996, through Priority Records. Recording sessions took place at Ice Cube's house studio, Westsiiiiide Studios, in California, except for the song "Gangstas Make the World Go Round", which was recorded at Treehouse Studios in South Africa. Sir Jinx
Anthony Wheaton, professionally known by his stage name Sir Jinx, is an American hip hop producer and rapper from Los Angeles. He is a cousin of multi-platinum producer Dr. Dre. He began his career as a member of the C.I.A. in the mid-80s with Ice Cube and Kid Disaster. Lench Mob Records is an record label owned by Los Angeles rapper and actor Ice Cube. Founded as Street Knowledge Records, it was once home to many of Cube's former allies such as DJ Pooh, and Lench Mob's own Chilly Chill, Del the Funky Homosapien, Kam, Yo-Yo and the group Da Lench Mob. The label, established in 1990, remained dormant for a long period until a revival in 2006 with the release of Ice Cube's album ''Laugh Now, Cry Later''.
