''K-1 PREMIUM 2005 Dynamite!!'' was an annual kickboxing and mixed martial arts event held by K-1 and Hero's on New Year's Eve, Sunday, December 31, 2005 at the Osaka Dome in Osaka, Japan. It featured 7 HERO'S MMA rules fights, and 4 K-1 rules fights. The event attracted a sellout crowd of 53,025 to the Osaka Dome, and was broadcast across Japan on the TBS Network. In the main event, Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto defeated Genki Sudo in the finals of the Hero's Middleweight Tournament to become the first HERO'S Middleweight Champion. The semi final match was a modified rules bout between Royce Gracie and Hideo Tokoro, which was declared a draw. Hero's
Hero's was a Japanese mixed martial arts promotion operated by Fighting and Entertainment Group, the parent entity behind kickboxing organization K-1. Grown from and branched off of K-1's earlier experiments in MMA, including the ''K-1 Romanex'' event and various MMA fights on its regular K-1 kickboxing cards, it held its first show on March 26, 2005. , better known by the name , is a Japanese former professional karateka and kickboxer. He is a four-time K-1 Japan tournament champion, a former World Association of Kickboxing Organizations, WAKO Heavyweight Muay Thai champion and two-time K-1 World Grand Prix finalist. is a Japanese retired welterweight kickboxer. He was the ISKA World Welterweight Oriental Rules champion, as well as the winner of the K-1 WORLD MAX World tournament in 2003 and 2008. Ernesto Frits Hoost (born 11 July 1965) is a Dutch retired kickboxer. A four-time K-1 World Champion, Hoost is considered to be one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. Sem "Semmy" Schilt (; born 27 October 1973) is a Dutch former kickboxer, Ashihara karateka and mixed martial artist. He stands 212 cm and weighs 171 kg. Peter Aerts (born 25 October 1970) is a Dutch semi-retired kickboxer. Known for his devastating high kicks, which earned him the nickname "The Dutch Lumberjack", he is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight kickboxers of all time. Born in Eindhoven, Netherlands, Aerts began training in Taekwondo at the age of fourteen. Heath Herring (born March 2, 1978) is an American professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Heavyweight division of Rizin.
