Jürgen Fassbender
Jürgen Fassbender (german: Faßbender, born 28 May 1948) is a retired German tennis player. On the ATP Tour, Fassbender won three singles and 15 doubles titles. His best Grand Slam singles result was reaching the quarterfinals at the 1973 Wimbledon Championships. Alexander "Sandy" Mayer (born April 5, 1952) is a former tennis player from the United States. He won twelve titles in singles and twenty-four titles in doubles in his professional career, and was part of the winning tennis squad at Stanford University in 1973. Career Mayer was born in Flushing, New York. He entered Stanford University in 1970. In 1972, Mayer and Roscoe Tanner won the NCAA doubles championship, and the Stanford team finished second in the NCAA tournament, behind Trinity University. Marty Riessen
Marty Riessen (born December 4, 1941) is an American former amateur and professional tennis player active from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was ranked as high as No. 11 in the world in singles on the ATP rankings in September 1974, though was ranked as high as world No. 8 by Lance Tingay of ''The Daily Telegraph'' in 1971 before the computer rankings. The Hamburg European Open (formerly ''German Open Tennis Championships'') is an annual tennis tournament for professional players held in Hamburg, Germany and part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. Before 2021, it was a male-only event. The tournament is played on outdoor clay courts at the tennis center '' Am Rothenbaum'' in the Harvestehude quarter. Robert Keith Wilson (22 November 1935 – 21 September 2020) was an English tennis player. Wilson reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon four times, Forest Hills twice, and Roland Garros once during the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was also a prominent Great Britain Davis Cup team member. Grand Slam tournaments Wilson was a champion junior player, winning the 1951 British Junior Championship at age 15. Gerald Battrick (27 May 1947 – 26 November 1998) was a Welsh tennis player who reached as high as No. 3 in Britain (and world No. 53), winning at least 6 titles. Wilhelm Paul Bungert (born 1 April 1939) is a former German tennis player best known for reaching the 1967 Wimbledon final. He participated in the 1970 Davis Cup final as a player and in the 1985 Davis Cup final as team captain. Bernard Mignot (born 3 December 1948) is a former professional tennis player from Belgium. Biography Mignot was the first Belgian to win a Grand Prix or ATP title and the only one to do so for over 20-years. He defeated Jiří Hřebec in the final at Düsseldorf in 1974. A year earlier he had countryman Patrick Hombergen were runners-up in the doubles at Valencia, Spain. James Scott Connors (born September 2, 1952) is an American former world No. 1 tennis player. He held the top Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking for a then-record 160 consecutive weeks from 1974 to 1977 and a career total of 268 weeks. By virtue of his long and prolific career, Connors still holds three prominent Open Era men's singles records: 109 titles, 1,557 matches played, and 1,274 match wins.
