Józef Młynarczyk
Józef Młynarczyk (born 20 September 1953) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. After representing three clubs in his homeland he played out the remainder of his career in France and Portugal, winning seven major titles with Porto during his one-and-a-half-season spell. Młynarczyk played more 40 times with Poland, appearing in two World Cups with the country. Club career Born in Nowa Sól, Młynarczyk arrived at Widzew Łódź in 1980 aged 27, after playing for three modest clubs. During his four-year spell, in which he was equally first and second-choice, the team won two Ekstraklasa titles, finishing second in the other two. In the 1982–83 European Cup, he helped Widzew to the semifinals after edging Liverpool in the last-eight (4–3 on aggregate). In 1984, aged 31, Młynarczyk signed with SC Bastia in France. Nowa Sól
Nowa Sól is a city on the Oder River in Lubusz Voivodeship, western Poland. It is the capital of Nowa Sól County and had a population of 38,763 (2019). History The first settlement in the region of modern Nowa Sól dates to the 14th century, when the territory was under Bohemian sovereignty as part of the Holy Roman Empire. Vítor Manuel Martins Baía, OIH (; born 15 October 1969) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. One of the most decorated goalkeepers of all time, his career was intimately connected with FC Porto, which he started representing professionally still in his teens, helping it to 25 titles and eventually remaining with the club in an ambassadorial role. Also having played for Barcelona, Baía appeared with the Portugal national team in two European Championships and the 2002 World Cup. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Jacek Kazimierski (born 17 August 1959 in Warsaw) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He began his career in Agrykola Warsaw and later played for Legia Warsaw, Olympiacos and K.A.A. Gent. He won the Polish Cup twice in 1980 and 1981 with Legia Warsaw and appeared in 225 Polish league games. He also won the Greek Super Cup with Olympiacos in 1988. A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978).
