The Juarez Gallos de Pelea are a Mexican basketball team that has competed in various leagues in the United States and Mexico since 2000. The team won a Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional championship in 2001. In 2003-2004, the Juarez Gallos were a Mexican franchise in the American Basketball Association The American Basketball Association (ABA) was a major men's professional basketball league from 1967 to 1976. The National Professional Basketball League ( or LNBP) is the top professional basketball league in Mexico. The league was founded in 2000 with 10 teams. American Basketball Association (2000–present)
The American Basketball Association (ABA) is an American semi-professional men's basketball minor league that was founded in 1999. The ABA has teams based in the United States and previously had international teams based in Canada and Mexico. In the past, there were traveling teams from countries such as Australia and Japan who played in the ABA. Additionally, there were players from other countries that were on a U.S. team to showcase other talented athletes in the country.
