Futebol Clube Juventude (Capeverdean Crioulo, also in the Sal Crioulo language, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Juventudi'') is a football (soccer) club that had played in the Premier division and plays in the Sal Island League in Cape Verde. It is based in the subdivision of ''Morro de Cural'' in the city of Espargos in the island of Sal. Juventude is the fifth successful football (soccer) club on the island, having won 7 official regional titles. As of the 2016–17 season, its chairman is David Brito and its coach is Djulhiano (not as Djuliano) Santos. History The club was founded on February 26, 1962 and is the oldest club in Espargos, it was also the first to be founded outside Santa Maria, the north of the island and a neighborhood. The club celebrated its 10th anniversary in 1972 and its 25th anniversary in 1987 and 50th anniversary 2012. 2012 Cape Verdean Football Championships
The 2012 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 33rd of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 5 May and finished on 7 July, slightly earlier than last year. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Sporting Praia won the ninth title (eleventh overall), it would be the club's most recent title win. This time, Sporting Praia did not participate in the 2013 CAF Champions League. No club also participated in the 2013 CAF Confederation Cup. In 2012, Sporting Praia won the first super cup title and would become the first club to win both the championship and the super cup title in the same season. The Sal Island Cup (Portuguese: ''Taça da Ilha do Sal'', Capeverdean Crioulo, Sal Creole: Taça Dja d' Sal, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Tasa da Dja du Sal'') is a cup competition played during the season in the island of Sal, Cape Verde, it consists of all the clubs from all the two regional divisions and are divided into about five to six rounds. The competition is organized by the Sal Regional Football Association (Associação Regional de Futebol de Sal, ARFS). The cup winner competed in the regional super cup final in the following season. Sport Club Verdun (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Sport Klubi Verdun'', also in the São Vicente Crioulo: ''Sport Klube Verdun'') is a football (soccer) club that plays in the Sal Island League in Cape Verde. The team is based in the village of Pedra de Lume in the east of the island of Sal, though they play in Espargos' stadium, the home field which is made up of dirt is rarely used for practices.
