Juve The Great
''Juve the Great'' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Juvenile. The album was released on December 23, 2003, by Cash Money Records, Universal Music Group and UTP Records. It was Juvenile's last album on the Cash Money label. The album was certified platinum July 20, 2004, becoming his third album to do so, after ''400 Degreez'' and ''Tha G-Code''. ''Juve the Great'' includes the hit single "Slow Motion" featuring Soulja Slim, who was shot dead almost a month before the album's release, which topped the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Terius Gray (born March 26, 1975), better known by his stage name Juvenile, is an American rapper best known for his work with Birdman's Cash Money Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s, both solo and as a member of the label's then-flagship group, Hot Boys. Juvenile's career began in the early 1990s as a teenager with bounce music recordings that made him a local star. He released his debut album ''Being Myself'' in 1995. After signing to Cash Money, Juvenile released ''Solja Rags'' in 1997, which included the major local hit "Solja Rag". Cameo is an American funk band that formed in 1974. Cameo was initially a 14-member group known as the New York City Players; this name was later changed to Cameo. As of the first half of 2009, some of the original members continued to perform together. Two other original members were hired by the hip hop group Outkast. In 2015, Cameo announced a new residency show at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, opening in March 2016. On February 20, 2019, Larry Blackmon of Cameo announced "El Passo", the first new single from the band in 19 years. Burton Rashad "Ringo" Smith (born September 28, 1972) is an American hip hop and R&B record producer. He was born in England and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, United States, in a Jamaican and Haitian family. Rashad grew up alongside notable hip hop artists such as Mos Def, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, among others. At the age of 19, he provided beats to Main Source, Eric B and Rakim and A Tribe Called Quest. Partners-N-Crime is a rap group from New Orleans, Louisiana, made up of Kango Slimm (born Walter Williams) and Mr. Meana (born Michael Patterson), friends raised in the 17th ward of New Orleans, where they met in high school through a mutual friend. The two earned a local buzz performing at various New Orleans talent shows, and eventually signed to Big Boy Records. A rivalry between Partners-N-Crime and Cash Money Records group U.N.L.V. led to further hostilities between Big Boy and Cash Money before the two groups made peace. The group is considered legendary to locals. The music that they play is in a style that is all their own, and the people of New Orleans love it. Larry Ernest Blackmon (born May 24, 1956) is an American vocalist and musician who gained acclaim as the lead singer and founder frontman of the funk and R&B band Cameo. Musical career Starting the band "East Coast", Blackmon formed the "New York City Players" as a complement to the Ohio Players. Having to rename the group because of a conflict, Blackmon later called the group Cameo. Blackmon lived in Harlem and played drums on several hits for the band Black Ivory. He is the son of Lee Black, a former boxer. Along with his unique vocal style, Blackmon's other personal touches included sporting an elaborate hi-top fade haircut and a codpiece over his pants. He is perhaps best known for featuring on the U.S. number one hit "Slow Motion".
