Justin Woodall
Justin Woodall (born November 6, 1987) is an American professional baseball pitcher. He was drafted out of high school by the New York Mets but instead decided to go to the University of Alabama to play football. In his freshman year in 2006, he had six tackles, one pass breakup, and one blocked punt. He primarily played on special teams. His Sophomore year he played in five games and was a reserve in the secondary. His junior year, he earned the starting safety position and started all 14 games. He grabbed four interceptions; one of them he returned for a 74-yard touchdown. He also had 47 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and eight pass breakups. Oxford, Mississippi
Oxford is a city and college town in the U.S. state of Mississippi. Oxford lies 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Memphis, Tennessee, and is the county seat of Lafayette County. Founded in 1837, it was named after the British city of Oxford. The University of Mississippi, also known as "Ole Miss" is located adjacent to the city. Purchasing the land from a Chickasaw, pioneers founded Oxford in 1837. In 1841, the Mississippi State Legislature selected it as the site of the state's first university, Ole Miss. The championship game pits the SEC East Division regular season champion against the West Division regular season champion. The National Football League Draft, also called the NFL Draft or (officially) the Player Selection Meeting, is an annual event which serves as the league's most common source of player recruitment. Each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first and the Super Bowl champion is last. From this position, the team can either select a player or trade its position to another team for other draft positions, a player or players, or any combination thereof. The round is complete when each team has either selected a player or traded its position in the draft. The first draft was held in 1936, and has been held every year since. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field.
