Justin Sherman
Justin Sherman (born 26 January 1987) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions and Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited as the number 45 draft pick in the 2004 AFL draft from Clarence. He made his debut for the Brisbane Lions in round 4, 2005 against . In only his second season of AFL football, Sherman was voted runner-up in the Brisbane Lions best and fairest award. Sherman played primarily as a midfielder, but could also play in the forward pocket and short deep half-forward and half backline. The Clarence Football Club, nicknamed ''The Kangaroos'' (and usually referred to as simply "The Roos"), is an Australian rules football club playing in the Tasmanian State League, based in Bellerive, Tasmania. Before 1947, they existed as Bellerive Football Club. In the sport of Australian rules football, each of the eighteen players in a team is assigned to a particular named position on the field of play. These positions describe both the player's main role and by implication their location on the ground. As the game has evolved, tactics and team formations have changed, and the names of the positions and the duties involved have evolved too. There are 18 positions in Australian rules football, not including four (sometimes 6–8) interchange players who may replace another player on the ground at any time during play.
