Justin Douglas (field Hockey)
Justin Douglas (born 1 January 1993) is a field hockey player from Australia. Career State level Justin Douglas was born and raised in Townsville, Queensland. At a junior level, Douglas represented his home state, Queensland, at all Template:National Australian Championships, Australian Championships. In the Australian Hockey League, Douglas represented the Queensland Blades from 2013 to 2018, winning three titles. Following the disbandment of the AHL, Douglas was named in the Brisbane Blaze team for the 2019 Men's Hockey One, inaugural tournament of the Hockey One, Sultana Bran Hockey One League, Australia's new premier domestic competition. Junior national team Justin Douglas made his debut for the Australia men's national under-21 field hockey team, Australia U–21 side, the 'Burras', at the 2012 Sultan of Johor Cup, winning a bronze medal. Townsville, Queensland
Townsville is a city on the north-eastern coast of Queensland, Australia. 2019 Men's Hockey One
The 2019 Men's Sultana Bran Hockey One was the inaugural men's edition of Hockey Australia's national league, ''Hockey One''. The tournament was held across 7 states and territories of Australia. The tournament started on 29 September and culminated on 16 November 2019. The grand final of the tournament was hosted by HC Melbourne, as the top ranked team to qualify for the final in the women's league. NSW Pride won the tournament after defeating Brisbane Blaze 8–3 in the final. Tassie Tigers finished in bronze position, following results from the pool stage. Western Australian Institute Of Sport
The Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) is an elite sports institute set up in 1983 by the Government of Western Australia to support athletes in Western Australia. Previously, if elite athletes from Western Australian needed to train or receive coaching at an international level they had to move to one of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) campuses which were generally based in the eastern states. The founding director was Wally Foreman who held the position for 17 years until 2001. The 2013 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup was the 10th edition of the Hockey Junior World Cup for men, an international field hockey tournament. It was held between 6–15 December 2013 in New Delhi, India. The 2013 Junior Oceania Cup was an international field hockey tournament hosted by Australia. The quadrennial tournament serves as the Junior Championship of Oceania organized by the Oceania Hockey Federation. It was held in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia between 27 February and 3 March 2008. Host nation Australia was joined by teams from, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. Australia won the tournament in both the men's and women's competitions.
