Justin Cobbs
Justin Cobbs (Serbian Cyrillic: Џастин Кобс; born March 16, 1991) is an American-born Montenegrin professional basketball player for Alvark Tokyo of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball for the University of Minnesota then transferred after his freshman year to the University of California. On February 17, 2014, Cobbs was named one of the finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, presented annually to the nation's top collegiate point guard. He is from Los Angeles, California, and attended Bishop Montgomery High School. He represents Montenegrо national team internationally. Professional career Cobbs went undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft. On November 3, 2014 he signed his first professional contract with VEF Rīga of the VTB League. The Prva A liga, for sponsorships reasons named the Erste Liga, is the top-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. It is the highest basketball division organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG). Montenegro National Basketball Team
The Montenegro men's national basketball team ( cnr, Кошаркашка репрезентација Црне Горе, Košarkaška reprezentacija Crne Gore) represents Montenegro in international basketball tournaments. The supervising body is the Basketball Federation of Montenegro. Montenegro joined FIBA in 2006, following the restoration of Montenegrin independence in the same year. The Bob Cousy Award presented by The College of the Holy Cross (or Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award) is an annual basketball award given by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to the top men's collegiate point guard. It is named after six-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion Bob Cousy, who played point guard for the Boston Celtics from 1950 to 1963. Cousy won six championships with the Celtics. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet ( sr, / , ) is a variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language, updated in 1818 by Serbian linguist Vuk Karadžić. It is one of the two alphabets used to write standard modern Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. The All-Pac-12 men's basketball team is an annual Pac-12 Conference honor bestowed on the best players in the conference following every college basketball season. Pac-12 coaches select a 10-player first team and a five-player second team. There were two five-man teams from 1956 though 1979, followed by one 10-man first team from 1980 through 2008. For one year in 2008, there were three five-man teams selected. During the final week of the regular season, Pac-12 coaches nominate up to three players from their team to be placed on the ballot for consideration.
