Jim Penders
James F. Penders is the coach of the UConn Huskies baseball team. Penders began his time with the Huskies in 1991 as a player on the varsity team. In his senior year, he was named a co-captain and helped to lead the Huskies to victory in the 1994 Big East Conference baseball tournament. Penders was named an assistant coach of the Huskies in 1997 and became head coach after the 2003 season. Playing years Penders was a co-captain in 1994. The Huskies finished with a 26–19 record and won the Big East Tournament before losing to 1994 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team, Georgia Tech and in the 1994 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament#Midwest II Regional at Wichita, KS, NCAA Regionals and being eliminated. 2015 Hartford Hawks Baseball Team
The 2015 Hartford Hawks baseball team will represent the University of Hartford during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Hawks will play their home games at Fiondella Field as a member of the America East Conference. They will be led by head coach Justin Blood, in his 4th season at Hartford. Previous Season In 2014, the Hawks finished the season 2nd in the America East with a record of 31–23, 16–7 in conference play. The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference has nine core members including eight public research universities, three of which, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont, are the flagship universities of their states. The two non-flagship university centers of the State University of New York are in the conference: the University at Albany and Binghamton University. George Springer
George Chelston Springer III (born September 19, 1989) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for the Houston Astros from 2014 to 2020. The Astros selected Springer in the first round (11th overall) of the 2011 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2014, for the Astros.
