Justin Alexander (born 1979) is an American actor, playwright, and role-playing game reviewer, critic, and designer who blogs and streams under the name The Alexandrian. He is known for inventing the Three Clue Rule and as a long time proponent of hex-crawl style adventures. He is the RPG Producer of Atlas Games, overseeing RPGs like '' Feng Shui, Unknown Armies, Ars Magica, Over the Edge'', and ''Magical Kitties Save the Day''. A role-playing game (sometimes spelled roleplaying game, RPG) is a game in which players assume the roles of player character, characters in a fictional Setting (narrative), setting. Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting or through a process of structured decision-making regarding character development. ENNIE Awards
The ENNIE Awards (previously stylized as ENnie Awards) are awards for role-playing game (RPG) products (including game-related accessories, publications, and art) and their creators. The awards were created in 2001 by Russ Morrissey of EN World in partnership with Eric Noah's Unofficial D&D Third Edition News. The ceremony has been hosted at Gen Con in Indianapolis since 2002. Since 2018, EN World is no longer associated with the awards. The ENNIES comprise two rounds. In the first round, publishers submit their products for nomination. Entries are judged by five democratically elected judges. The nominated products are voted on by the public in the second round. ''Heavy Gear'' is a mecha science fiction game universe published since 1994 by Canadian publisher Dream Pod 9. It includes a tabletop tactical wargame, a role-playing game, and a combat card game ('' Heavy Gear Fighter'').
