''Just Me and You'' is a 1978 American television film, made-for-television comedy film written by Louise Lasser and directed by John Erman. Plot The film is a gentle comedy about two strangers with personal family issues who drive across wintery America after Michael Lindsay (Charles Grodin) offers a lift to Jane Alofsin (Lasser) and how they gradually get to know each other. Jane is a little neurotic and very indecisive while Charles is more focused. Louise Lasser
Louise Marie Lasser (born April 11, 1939) is an American actress, television writer, and performing arts teacher and director. She is known for her portrayal of the title character on the soap opera satire ''Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.'' She was married to Woody Allen and appeared in several of his early films. She is also a life member of The Actors Studio and studied with both Sanford Meisner and Robert X. Modica. Early life and career beginnings Born in New York City, Lasser is the only child of Paula Lasser (née Cohen) and Sol Jay Lasser. Her father wrote and published the ''Everyone's Income Tax Guide'' series in the 1970s and 1980s. Louise did not fully embrace her Jewish heritage until later in life. Her mother's emotional instability led to a 1961 suicide attempt that was thwarted by Louise herself. Miriam Byrd-Nethery
Miriam Byrd-Nethery (May 17, 1929 – January 6, 2003) was an American actress. Her film roles included '' Bound for Glory'' (1976) and '' Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III'' and ''Across Five Aprils'' (both 1990). Personal life Byrd-Nethery was one of five siblings born in Lewisville, Arkansas to Daniel Thompson "Tom" Nethery and Ruby Estelle Byrd. She was married to Clu Gulager. Their sons are John and Tom Gulager. Byrd-Nethery died in Los Angeles on January 6, 2003, at age 73 following a long battle with a brain tumor, which had also cost her sight in one eye. RSO Records was a record label formed by rock and roll and musical theatre impresario Robert Stigwood and record executive Al Coury in 1973. The letters "RSO" stood for the Robert Stigwood Organisation. RSO managed the careers of several major acts, the Bee Gees, Yvonne Elliman, Cream, Eric Clapton, and Andy Gibb.
