Juodkiškiai Reservoir
The Juodkiškiai Reservoir is an artificial lake in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania. It is located east from Kėdainiai, next to Taučiūnai village. It was created in 1980, when a dam on the Obelis river had been built next to Juodkiškiai, Kėdainiai, Juodkiškiai hamlet. In 1995, the dam was reconstructed and a small hydroelectric plant (of 510 kW) has been built. Shores of the reservoir are low, agriculture lands stretch around the lake. The Bubliai Reservoir and some smaller reservoirs (the Koliupė Reservoir, the Malčius Reservoir) empty into the Juodkiškiai Reservoir. The A8 highway (Lithuania), A8 highway crosses the lake. Aristava
Aristava (formerly ''Lukšiakaimis'', russian: Орвистово, Лукшакаймис, pl, Orwistów) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 489 people. It is located from Kėdainiai, next to the Bubliai Reservoir on the Obelis river, by the Malčius and the Malčius 2nd rivulets. There is a big road junction: the A8 highway, the road to Cinkiškiai via Kėdainiai (KK229), the road to Ukmergė (KK145). There is a library, a former school, a stock farm. History The Aristava manor of duke Algimantas has been known since 1371 when it was mentioned by Hermann von Wartberge. The former manor had been located in Aristavėlė but the last palace building was transferred to the Museum of Lithuanian Folk Life.
