Juno Award For Underground Dance Single Of The Year
The Juno Award for Underground Dance Single of the Year is an annual Canadian music award, presented by the Juno Awards to honour songs in underground dance music genres. Announced at the Juno Awards of 2021, it was presented for the first time at the Juno Awards of 2022. The award was created as a split from the existing Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year, due to the fact that the existing award is often dominated by commercial dance pop singles while leaving more underground and experimental dance music, such as music created by Black Canadian, First Nations or LGBTQ ' is an initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. The Juno Awards, more popularly known as the JUNOS, are awards presented annually to Canadian musical artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies. The Juno Awards are often referred to as the Canadian equivalent of the Brit Awards in the United Kingdom or the Grammy Awards given in the United States. Fred Everything (born Frédéric Blais in Hull, Quebec) is a French-Canadian electronic musician and DJ, best known for his work in the deep house music genre. Early life Blais was brought up in Quebec City, where he gained an interest in synthesis and editing techniques from a young age. RAM Records is an independent record label established in 1992 by Andy C with the help of his friend Ant Miles. It specialises in drum and bass. The label and business is run by Andy C and business partner Scott Bourne (Red One). Ram Records is known for its label activities, the music it releases, and the artists it has signed over the years. Moving Fusion's Turbulence was instrumental in moving RAM forward in the early 2000s and was the number one voted-for track in drum and bass at the Mercury Music Prize in 2000.
