The Juno Awards, more popularly known as the JUNOS, are awards presented annually to Canadian musical artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies. The Juno Awards are often referred to as the Canadian equivalent of the Brit Awards in the United Kingdom or the Grammy Awards given in the United States. Members of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), or a panel of experts, depending on the award, choose the award winners. Willi Williams (also Willie Williams) is a Jamaican reggae and dub musician and producer. He is known as the "Armagideon Man" after his hit, " Armagideon Time", first recorded in 1977 at Studio One in Kingston. The song was covered by The Clash as the flipside of their "London Calling" single. Fujahtive is an eight piece reggae band based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The band was known for their powerful, horn section-driven brand of reggae during their live performances in Toronto and tours across Canada throughout the late 1980s and 1990s. Fujahtive's second album, ''The Sound'', received a nomination for Best Reggae Recording at the 1995 Juno Awards. The band's "Send fi mi girl" video was one of the first Canadian reggae videos to crack the Much Music regular rotation in 1991.
