Junius H. Rose High School (known colloquially as J.H. Rose, Rose High or simply Rose) is a public high school in Greenville, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Pitt County Schools district. History J.H. Rose High School was established in 1957 on South Elm Street, in Greenville, North Carolina. Students that made up the original student body came from the former Greenville High School in downtown Greenville. Students from the former historically black C. M. Eppes High School were integrated in during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The school moved to its present location on Arlington Boulevard (the former Greenville Middle School) in 1992. Kelly Heath
Kelly Mark Heath (born September 4, 1957) is a professional baseball player and scout. A second baseman, Heath played in Major League Baseball for the Kansas City Royals in 1982, and played in minor league baseball for fourteen years. He currently scouts for the Royals, and previously scouted for the Oakland Athletics and Cincinnati Reds. Career Born in Plattsburgh, New York, Heath attended Louisburg College, a junior college (JUCO) where he played college baseball. In 1977, he was named to the JUCO All-Tournament Team. The Kansas City Royals drafted Heath in the seventh round, with the 177th overall selection, of the 1977 Major League Baseball Draft. Cornell Powell
Cornell Powell (born October 30, 1997) is an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson. Early years Powell attended JH Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina. As a senior, he had 65 receptions for 1,557 yards and 38 total touchdowns. He committed to Clemson University to play college football. College career Powell spent 2016 to 2019 as a backup receiver. He took a redshirt in 2018 after playing in only four games. During those years, he totaled 40 receptions for 329 yards and three touchdowns. He became a starter for the first time his redshirt senior season in 2020. Lauren Perdue (born June 25, 1991) is an American competitive swimming (sport), swimmer who specializes in freestyle swimming, freestyle events. She was a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team, and earned a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Perdue was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, and attended J. H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina. She swam for the Greenville Swim Club under head coach Casey Charles from 1999 to 2009. Water skiing (also waterskiing or water-skiing) is a surface water sport in which an individual is pulled behind a boat or a cable ski installation over a body of water, skimming the surface on two skis or one ski.
