Junior Golf World Cup
The Toyota Junior Golf World Cup ( ja, 世界ジュニアゴルフ推進会) is an annual world amateur team golf championship for youths under 18 organized in Japan with Toyota Motor Corporation as title sponsor. The inaugural event for boys was held in 1992 and for girls in 2014. Past participants include Hideki Matsuyama, Branden Grace, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, Hunter Mahan, Russell Henley, Trevor Immelman, Danny Willett, Brendon de Jonge, Alex Norén, Yūsaku Miyazato, Yuta Ikeda, Satoshi Kodaira, Camilo Villegas, Jon Rahm, Hideto Tanihara, Shunsuke Sonoda and Yosuke Asaji. In 2001, South Africa won the event with a team that featured future major champions Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. Format Continental/regional qualifiers are held to limit the field to 24 teams. The tournament format is 72 holes of stroke play over four days with teams of four (boys) and three (girls). Danny Willett
Daniel John Willett (born 3 October 1987) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. In April 2016, he won his first major championship at the 2016 Masters Tournament, becoming only the second Englishman to achieve the feat and the first European in 17 years to win at Augusta National. Charl Schwartzel
Charl Adriaan Schwartzel ( ; born 31 August 1984) is a South African professional golfer who currently plays in the LIV Golf Invitational Series and has previously played on the PGA Tour, European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. He has won one major title, the Masters in 2011. Schwartzel's highest world ranking has been number six, after finishing in a tie for fourth at the WGC-Cadillac Championship in 2012. Lodewicus Theodorus "Louis" Oosthuizen (; born 1982) is a South African professional golfer who won the 2010 Open Championship. He has finished runner-up in all four major championships: the 2012 Masters Tournament, the 2015 and 2021 U.S. Open, the 2015 Open Championship, and the PGA Championship in 2017 and 2021. Yosuke Asaji (born 24 May 1993) is a Japanese professional golfer. Professional career Asaji won the 2019 Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup Golf (a co-sanctioned event with the Asian Tour), to qualify for the 2019 Open Championship. He earned entry into that tournament through Monday qualifier. He finished the 2019 Open Championship in a tie for 67th place. Shunsuke Sonoda
is a Japanese professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Sonoda was born in Tokyo. He was first trained by his father. After that he has been taught by golf teaching pro, Todd Baker, since he was 10 years old. When Sonoda visited Gold Coast, Australia with his family at age 13, he decided to study in Gold Coast because the town has many golf courses. is a Japanese professional golfer. He has won 17 tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour. Professional career Tanihara has won 14 tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour and featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking. His highest ranking came in June 2017 when he reached 47th. Satoshi Kodaira
is a Japanese professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and Japan Golf Tour. While playing on the Japan Golf Tour, Kodaira has had seven victories, including two Japan Golf Tour majors, the 2013 Japan Golf Tour Championship Shishido Hills and the 2015 Japan Open.
