Junglies
''Junglies'' is a short-lived British 1992 animated television series by Terry Ward, lasting from 1992-1993 on TV-am. Overview The series is set on the fictional Junglie Island, an island somewhere near Africa. Each episode follows the adventures of several anthropomorphised animals called the Junglies, all of whom are portrayed as young children. A total of 13 episodes were produced, and aired between 1992 and 1993 exclusively in the United Kingdom, some of which were released straight-to-video. The series has never been released on DVD, although one episode, "Flying South", was featured on the VHS and DVD versions of "A Day Full of Animals and Songs". Harold Owen "Gary" Wilmot, MBE (born 8 May 1954) is a British singer, actor, comedian, presenter, writer and director who rose to fame as a contestant on ''New Faces''. As a television presenter, he is best known as the host of '' You and Me'', '' So You Want To Be Top'' and ''Showstoppers''. His West End credits include '' Me and My Girl'', ''Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'', '' Dirty Rotten Scoundrels'', ''The Prince of Egypt'' and ''Wicked''. Wilmot was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2018 Birthday Honours for services to drama and charity. Mark London (born 30 January 1940) is a Canadian-born British soundtrack composer, songwriter and music producer. He is perhaps best known as composer of the song "To Sir with Love". History Mark London was born in Montreal, Quebec, and initially worked as a comedian following a move to London. He first achieved prominence in 1967 as the composer of the melody to "''To Sir With Love''", the title song from James Clavell's movie of the same name, starring Sidney Poitier, Judy Geeson and Lulu, after . ''Nellie the Elephant'' was a British children's cartoon series created by Terry Ward on behalf of FilmFair, Flicks Films and 101 Film Productions Limited in the United Kingdom that ran from 8 January 1990 to 19 December 1990. The series featured Lulu (singer), Lulu as the voice of Nellie, with Tony Robinson providing other voices and also narrating the show. A comic-book annual was released in 1990 in an attempt to further advertise the series, but the annual failed to attract a wide audience.
