Jungle Pocket (owarai)
is a Japanese comedy trio consisting of , and . They are graduates of the Yoshimoto NSC Tokyo 12th generation and employed by Yoshimoto Kogyo. They are mostly active in Tokyo. Members * Shinji Saitō (斉藤慎二) Born October 26, 1982 in Yachiyo, Chiba. Plays the '' boke'', but has recently transitioned to also playing the ''tsukkomi''. He aspired to be an actor before becoming a comedian and graduated with a degree for acting at the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music before joining Yoshimoto NSC. * Hirohisa Ōta (太田博久) Born December 10, 1983 in Toyota, Aichi. Plays the '' boke''. He is the main writer of the group's material and skits. His wife is the fashion model, Chihiro Kondo. * Otake (おたけ) Born December 2, 1982 in Chūō, Tokyo. The following glossary of words and terms (generally of Japanese origin) are related to ''owarai'' (Japanese comedy). Many of these terms may be used in areas of Japanese culture beyond comedy, including television and radio, music. Some have been incorporated into normal Japanese speech. __NOTOC__ Glossary ''bangumi'' :番組 (''bangumi''). The Japanese word for television show or television program. ''boke'' :ボケ (''boke'' ). From the verb 惚ける or 呆ける, which carries the meaning of "senility" or "air headed-ness," and is reflected in a performer's tendency for misinterpretation and forgetfulness. , formerly known as , is an annual Manzai competition planned by Shinsuke Shimada and run by Yoshimoto Kogyo. The supporter Asahi Broadcasting Corporation broadcasts live throughout Japan via All-Nippon News Network. it is the most prevalent manzai competition in Japan. The grand prix ended in 2010 and was brought back in 2015 with sponsors including Cygames, Nissin Foods, FamilyMart, Suntory and Uniqlo. The way to be the Champion Before 2010, to qualify as a contestant, the unit must have a career age of 10 years or under. When the competition was brought back in 2015, this limit was changed to 15 years or under. Jungle Pocket ( ja, ジャングルポケット, link=no, 7 May 1998 – 2 March 2021) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a racing career which lasted from 2000 until 2002 he won five of his thirteen races and ¥704,258,000 in prize money. As a two-year-old he showed promising form by winning two races including the Grade III Sapporo Nisai Stakes in record time. In the following year he won the Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) and defeated an international field to win the Japan Cup. His achievements saw him voted Japanese Champion 3-Year-Old Colt and Japanese Horse of the Year for 2001. is a Japanese idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. It was created on February 21, 2018. It is Nogizaka46's second sister group, after Keyakizaka46 (now split between Sakurazaka46 and Hinatazaka46). This was named after the Osaka-based entertainment company, Yoshimoto Kogyo, Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings.
