''Julma Satu'' is the debut album of the Finnish power metal band Villieläin. It was released on 19 August 2009 on the Universal Music Group label. It reached position 27 on the Finnish top 40 album charts, where it stayed for one week. Villieläin
Villieläin are a symphonic / power metal band from Tampere, Finland. They formed in 2006 and released a demo the same year. On August 19, 2009 they released their first studio album named '' Julma Satu'', and went on indefinite hiatus soon afterwards. Background The band was formed in 2006 by Emilia "Nemilia" Rantasalo, Jani Hölli, Timo Niemistö, Janne Juutinen and Dimitri Martinov, with the name of the band meaning ''Wild Animal''. The group's lyrics centered around the idea of ”He who makes a beast of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man”. Their music was inspired by the original gloomy fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and their lyrics also contained references to these stories. They incorporated female coloratura vocals, heavy metal riffs and industrial sounding keyboards into their songs. Aksu Hanttu
Aksu Hanttu (born ) is a musician, record producer and sound engineer from Lahti, Finland. He plays the drums in the metal band Entwine and vocals and drums in the group Tuoni. Hanttu is also involved with Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, which has worked with artists such as Nightwish, Reflexion, Soulrelic and the Belarusian 2009 Eurovision Song Contest entry Petr Elfimov. He mixed the album, '' Fuel for the Fire'' by Finnish Idols winner, Ari Koivunen. He was a co-writer on '' Julma Satu'', the debut album of Villieläin and also provided backing vocals on most of the tracks, as well as helping to produce it at Wave Sound Studios in Aatolike.
