Julitta Münch
Julitta Münch (25 July 1959 – 21 May 2020) was a German presenter and journalist. Life Münch was born in Düsseldorf, and did a journalistic traineeship after completing her studies in 1989. In 1992, she and Jürgen Drensek became the first presenters of the ', which she presented until 1994. From 1995, she worked at WDR 5, where she presented ''Morgenecho'' and ''Neugier genügt''. From 1997 to the end of 2010, Münch took over the radio broadcast program ''Hallo Ü-Wagen'' at WDR 5. In addition, she was a reporter for ARD and presented at Deutschlandfunk ''Wirtschaftsmagazin'' and ''Morgenmagazin''. Lohmar ( Ripuarian: ''Luhme'') is a town in the Rhein-Sieg district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Lohmar is located about 20 km east of Cologne and 15 km north-east of Bonn in the Bergisches Land area. Because it is only 20 minutes by car to Cologne or Bonn, Lohmar is a popular place for commuters. The main part of the town area is at the course of the Agger, southern of Overath. ''Hallo Ü-Wagen'' (''Hello Radio Van'') was a German travelling talk radio show of the WDR. It was presented and directed weekly by Carmen Thomas from 1974 to 1994. In 1990, ''Forbes'' named her one of the 100 most influential women in Germany for running it. The series continued until 2010. History Carmen Thomas began directing and presenting ''Hallo Ü-Wagen'' in 1974. The radio van travelled weekly as a "show on wheels" to different locations, where topics suggested by listeners were discussed with experts in live interviews, with the audience at the location and with listeners via telephone. First broadcast on 5 December 1974, the show was aired regularly each Thursday from 9:20 a.m. to noon on WDR 2. From January 1995, it was aired by WDR 5, first at the same time, then on Saturday from 11:05 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thomas was followed by Jan Seemann from 1995, and by Julitta Münch from September 1997. ARD (broadcaster)
ARD is a joint organisation of Germany's regional public-service broadcasters. It was founded in 1950 in West Germany to represent the common interests of the new, decentralised, post-war broadcasting services – in particular the introduction of a joint television network. The ARD has a budget of €6.9 billion, 22,612 employees and is the largest public broadcaster network in the world. The budget comes primarily from a licence fee which every household, company and public institution are required by law to pay. For an ordinary household the fee is currently €18.36 per month. Households living on welfare are exempt from the fee. Deutschlandfunk (DLF, ''Broadcast Germany'') is a public-broadcasting radio station in Germany, concentrating on news and current affairs.
