Julio Preciado
Julio Preciado is a banda singer based in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. His music is based on norteño songs, such as those of Los Cadetes de Linares, and sometimes includes accordions in addition to brass instrumentation. Preciado was a member of Banda El Recodo. He has been on a Mexican singing show called ''Cantando Por Un Sueño''. As well as, singing with a mariachi band on the 2001 album ''Entre Amigos''. Banda Music
Banda is a genre of Regional Mexican music and type of ensemble in which wind (mostly brass) and percussion instruments are performed. The history of banda music in Mexico dates from the middle of the 19th century with the arrival of piston brass instruments, when community musicians tried to imitate military bands. The first bandas were formed in Southern and Central Mexico. Many types of bandas exist in different territories and villages, playing traditional or modern music, organized privately or municipally. Mariachi
Mariachi (, , ) is a genre of regional Mexican music that dates back to at least the 18th century, evolving over time in the countryside of various regions of western Mexico. The usual mariachi group today consists of as many as eight violins, two trumpets and at least one guitar, including a high-pitched vihuela and an acoustic bass guitar called a guitarrón, and all players taking turns singing lead and doing backup vocals. From the 19th to 20th century, migrations from rural areas into Guadalajara, along with the Mexican government's cultural promotion gradually re-labeled it as ''son'' style, with its alternative name of ''mariachi'' becoming used for the 'urban' form. El Coyote (singer)
José Angel Ledezma Quintero (born November 1, 1970), known professionally as El Coyote, is a Mexican banda singer. Life Quintero grew up in a town named Coyotitán. Before José planned to be a music artist, he wanted to play baseball professionally. Which made him travel to Mazatlán, Mexico. The capital of the big star sinaloense bands, this is where he slowly began to get the nickname El Coyote. In 1989, El Coyote debuted in La Original Banda El Limón de Salvador Lizárraga, leaving aside his baseball dreams for a moment. ''Cantando por un Sueño'' (Singing for a Dream) is a television contest produced by the Mexican television network Canal de las Estrellas which also aired on Univision in the United States. Mazatlán
Mazatlán () is a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding ''municipio'', known as the Mazatlán Municipality. It is located at on the Pacific coast, across from the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula. ''Mazatlán'' is a Nahuatl word meaning "place of deer".
