Julien Magnat
Julien Magnat is a film and television screenwriter and director. He is best known for '' Bloody Mallory'' (2002) and '' Faces In The Crowd'' (2010). __TOC__ Life and career Magnat was born in Ardèche, France. He earned an international baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College in Wales and a degree in Film, Theatre and Television at the University of Reading in England. Magnat often cites Diamanda Galas and Stephen King as some of his main influences growing up. Magnat's first film, ''Shalt Thou Shew Wonders to the Dead'', was based on King's short story Nona. In 1996, Magnat joined France’s prestige national film school, La FEMIS. Several of his short films including ''Varnish Dreams'', ''Vena Cava'' and ''The All New Adventures of Chastity Blade'' have screened at Major Film Festivals such as Larissa Mediterranean Festival of New Filmmakers, St Petersburg International Film Festival, Cineteca Bologna Film Festival, Gerardmer's Fantastic'Arts, Mamers en Mars and the ...

Bloody Mallory
''Bloody Mallory'' is a 2002 film directed by Julien Magnat at his directorial debut, and written by Magnat and Stéphane Kazandjian. The film stars Olivia Bonamy, Adrià Collado, Jeffrey Ribier, Laurent Spielvogel, Valentina Vargas, Julien Boisselier, and Thylda Barès. The film's score was composed by Kenji Kawai. The film itself is a mix of horror, action, and comedy in a style highly reminiscent of American television shows such as ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' and '' Xena: Warrior Princess''. Plot Mallory (Bonamy) is the head of an elite government-run strike force dedicated to combating the supernatural. Her team includes the drag queen Vena Cava (Ribier), an explosives expert; a mute, pre-teen telepath capable of possessing others named Talking Tina (Barès); and an armed governmental agent named Durand (Perkins-Lyautey).
