Julien Aubert
Julien Aubert (born 11 June 1978) is a French politician and civil servant who represented the 5th constituency of the Vaucluse department in the National Assembly from 2012 to 2022. A member of The Republicans (LR) and its predecessor parties, he ran for the party's leadership in the 2019 election, in which he placed second behind Christian Jacob. In 2017, Aubert launched his own political movement and think tank, Oser la France (Dare France). Political career A magistrate at the Court of Audit by occupation, Aubert was elected to Parliament in the 2012 legislative election for the newly-created 5th constituency of Vaucluse. Following the 2015 regional election, he was also inaugurated as a regional councillor of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. He served one term in the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur until 27 June 2021. Ensemble () is a liberal political coalition in France. Formed in November 2021 as Ensemble Citoyens, it includes Renaissance (REN), formerly known as En Marche, Democratic Movement (MoDem) Horizons, En commun, and the Progressive Federation. The coalition included the parties Agir and Territories of Progress (TDP) until they were merged into the rebranded Renaissance. Christian Jacob (born 4 December 1959) is a French politician who has been the president of the Republicans party since 2019. Over the course of his career, he held several cabinet positions, including as the Minister of French Civil Service in Jacques Chirac's second term as President of France. He has served as Member of Parliament for Seine-et-Marne's 4th constituency between 1995 and 2002, and then since 2007. He is not seeking re-election in the 2022 French legislative election. Laurent Timothée Marie Wauquiez (; born 12 April 1975) is a French politician who has presided over the Regional Council of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes since 2016.
