Julie Sutton (mayor)
Julie Sutton (; born. 1937) is a former New South Wales politician and Marriage Celebrant, elected as a Councillor of Warringah Council and was previously Mayor of Warringah from 1995 to 1996 and 2002 to 2003. Early life Sutton was born in Australia in 1937, growing up in Newcastle on the New South Wales Central Coast. The daughter of schoolteacher Charles Goffet (1909–1991), who taught French at Newcastle Boys High School from 1942 to 1978, her sister is former NSW Federal Labor politician and Minister, Jeannette McHugh. Sutton was educated at Newcastle Girls' High School, where she was School Captain and took equal first place for French in her Leaving Certificate in 1953. ''The Newcastle Sun'' was a newspaper published in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. It had previously been published as ''The Northern Times''. History ''The Northern Times'' was first published in 1916. In 1918 the ''Times'' was purchased by Sir Hugh Denison, publisher of '' The Sun'' who changed the name to ''The Newcastle Sun''. ''The Newcastle Sun'' was acquired by '' Newcastle Morning Herald'' in 1936 and continued until 1980 when it ceased publication. A newspaper named ''The Northern Times'' (with the alternative title ''Northern Times and Newcastle Telegraph'') had previously been published in Maitland from 1857-1860. The ''Northern Telegraph'' resumed publication in 1916, before being absorbed by the ''Northern Times'' in 1918. Paul Landa
David Paul Landa, QC (29 May 194124 November 1984) was an Australian politician. In public life, he was called "Paul Landa". He was a Labor member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1973 to 1984, and the member for Peats in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1984. He was a government minister from 1976 to 1984. Landa was born in St Peters in Sydney to Maurice and Fay Landa, who were of Irish/Polish descent and had migrated from Belfast. He was educated at Kogarah High School and Sydney Boys' High School in 1956–58, before studying for a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney. He became a solicitor in 1964 and was admitted to the bar in 1974. On 17 December 1968, he married Annika. He was Jewish. He was the nephew of Abe Landa, who was also a NSW Government Minister. Neville Wran
Neville Kenneth Wran, (11 October 1926 – 20 April 2014) was an Australian politician who was the Premier of New South Wales from 1976 to 1986. He was the national president of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) from 1980 to 1986 and chairman of both the Lionel Murphy Foundation and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) from 1986 to 1991. Early years Wran was born in the Sydney suburb of Paddington, the eighth and last child of Joseph Wran and his wife Lillian (née Langley). Killarney Heights High School is a coeducational, comprehensive high school located on Starkey Street in Killarney Heights, a northern suburb of Sydney, near the Northern Beaches, Australia. Academically, Killarney Heights High School has performed better in 2018 and 2019 than previously, ranking in the top 100 schools both years, for the first time. History The school was established in January 1967 to serve the new suburb of Killarney Heights which was built in the early 1960s. Raymond Terrace
Raymond Terrace is a town in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, about by road north of Newcastle on the Pacific Highway. Established in 1837 it is situated at the confluence of the Hunter and Williams rivers. The town was named after Lieutenant Raymond, who had explored the Hunter River in 1797 and described the terraced appearance of trees in the area.
