Julie Ann Sabo (born March 18, 1966) is an American politician and educator who served as a member of the Minnesota Senate from 2001 to 2003. Sabo was also the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor of Minnesota in the 2002 Minnesota gubernatorial election. Background A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sabo received her bachelor's degree from Augsburg College and worked as a school teacher. Her father is Martin Olav Sabo. Judith H. Dutcher (born November 27, 1962) is an American attorney and former politician who served as the Minnesota State Auditor from 1995 – 2003 as both a Republican and Democrat (DFL). She was the first woman to serve as Minnesota State Auditor. Life and career Judi Dutcher was born in Michigan in 1962. Her father, Jim Dutcher, was the head basketball coach of the University of Minnesota from the mid-1970s to mid-1980s. Early life and education Born in Crookston, Moe graduated from Crookston Central High School and received his college degree from Mayville State College in North Dakota. The 2002 Minnesota gubernatorial election took place on November 5, 2002 for the post of Governor of Minnesota. Republican candidate Tim Pawlenty defeated Democratic candidate Roger Moe and Independence Party of Minnesota candidate Tim Penny.
