Julie Parrish (politician)
Julie Parrish (born June 9, 1974) is an American politician and was a Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives representing District 37 for four terms of office beginning on January 10, 2011, and ending on January 13, 2019. Julie Parrish is the seventh generation of her family to live in Oregon, and the third legislator from her family to serve in the Oregon Legislature. Her family has been active in Oregon Republican Politics since 1874. Julie Parrish is the daughter of a Lebanese immigrant who came to Oregon in the late 1960s. Elections Rep. Oregon Legislative Assembly
The Oregon Legislative Assembly is the state legislature for the U.S. state of Oregon. The Legislative Assembly is bicameral, consisting of an upper and lower house: the Senate, whose 30 members are elected to serve four-year terms; and the House of Representatives, with 60 members elected to two-year terms. There are no term limits for either house in the Legislative Assembly. Each Senate district is composed of exactly two House districts: Senate District 1 contains House Districts 1 and 2, SD 2 contains HD 3 and HD 4, and so on. The Libertarian Party of Oregon is a political party representing the national Libertarian Party in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is organized as a minor party for state election law, and recognized by the Oregon as a statewide nominating party. It was organized in 1971 as one of the first state affiliates of the newly established national Libertarian Party which nominated Oregon party member Theodora Nathan as its vice presidential candidate at the 1972 convention. Affiliated local committees have been organized in 13 of Oregon's counties.
