Julie Daniels (born February 12, 1954) is an American politician who has served in the Oklahoma Senate from the 29th district since 2016. She was re-elected by default in 2020. Oklahoma Senate OK Domestic Violence Survivorship Act Representative Toni Hasenbeck filed HB 1639 in January 2023 as a bill that "would allow a survivor to enter into a lesser sentencing range when evidence of abuse has been substantiated," after a mid-September 2022 Oklahoma House interim study she had requested heard testimony from advocates of criminalized domestic violence survivors, including supporters of April Wilkens. A similar bill had passed in California over a decade earlier. In March 2023, Daniels became the Senate author on the bill. John George is an American politician who has served as the Oklahoma House of Representatives member from the 36th district since November 16, 2022. Education George earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from East Central University. Mabel Bassett Correctional Center
The Mabel Bassett Correctional Center (MBCC) is an Oklahoma Department of Corrections prison for women located in unincorporated Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, near McLoud. The facility houses 1241 inmates, most of whom are held at medium security. The facility first opened in 1974, on Martin Luther King Drive in Oklahoma City.
