Julie Aagaard
Julie Aagaard Poulsen (born 30 January 1992) is a Danish former handball player. She was a member of the Danish junior national team that won the 2011 European Under-19 Handball Championships in August 2011 in the Netherlands, in the final match against the home team as the second most productive player of the winning team. During her career she played 2 national team matches, both in 2012. She started playing top level professional handball at the age of only 15 for Aalborg DH, where she played in the Champions League. When she switched to another giant in Danish handball, she began to grow tired of the sport, which made her switch to SK Aarhus after only a year at Viborg. She planned to return to her childhood club Aalborg DH, but the club went bankrupt just before the start of the season. Brønderslev
Brønderslev is a city in Denmark with a population of 12,549 (1 January 2022). The city is the largest urban area in Brønderslev Municipality and is the municipal seat. It is the fourth largest city of Vendsyssel within the North Jutland Region. History The name of the town is derived from a local Norsemen chief, Brunder. Brønderslev was formerly known as ''Vester Brønderslev'', in contrast to the neighboring ''Øster Brønderslev''. As of 2020, Øster Brønderslev has a population of just 943. Vester Brønderslev was once a small farming village. In 1682, it consisted of just 27 farms and 47 houses. The town was not initially located on any major thoroughfares and saw very little traffic. 2011 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship
The 2011 Women's U-19's European Handball Championship is the eighth edition of the continental handball event for this age group, and the fourth under its new name, that is being held between 4 and 14 August in the Netherlands. Norway entered the championship as title holders, after beaten 2009 hosts Hungary 29–27 in the previous tournament's final. According to the competition regulations, only players born on or after 1 January 1992 are eligible to participate. Denmark won the championship for the third time, beating first time finalists Netherlands in the decisive match 29–27. Venues Five cities have been selected to stage the championship. In Almelo, Maastricht and Leek will only be held preliminary and main round matches.
