Julian Peter
Julian Peter (died 1 March 2023) was the first Christian Major General in the Pakistan Army. Peter lived in Rawalpindi Gawalmandi and he was educated at St Mary's Cambridge School, Murree Road, Rawalpindi.The News International December 31, 2011 He received military training at the , Kakul. In 1971 Major Peter was wounded while commanding a rifle company. He refused evacuation and continued fighting until surrender. Sialkot Cantonment (Urdu: سیالکوٹ چھاؤنی) is a military cantonment area in Sialkot adjacent to the city. It is one of the oldest and most important Cantonments of Pakistan. It was established in 1852 by the British Indian Army. As gleaned from the old records, the Sialkot Cantonment is the precursor of Wazirabad Garrison which was established for a sojourn from 1849–52. Pakistan Military Academy ( ur, ), also referred to by its acronym PMA. PMA is an officers training school located near Kakul village in the city and district of Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa established in 1947. It is the sole service academy in Pakistan tasked with transforming cadets into Army Officers. For educational training, the institution is accredited by NUST.
