Julia Joyce (born 14 June 1998) is an actress, known for her appearance as a younger version of Billie Piper's characters in ''Doctor Who'' ("Father's Day (Doctor Who), Father's Day") and ''Mansfield Park (2007 film), Mansfield Park'', as well as for a role in ''Ruby in the Smoke''. She is also the younger sister of the actress, Model (person), model and Petits Filous advert star Lucy Joyce; Julia later went on to become the face of Petits Filous in her own right. Lewis (TV Series)
''Lewis'' is a British television detective drama produced for ITV, first airing in 2006 (pilot) then 2007 (series 1). It is a spin-off from ''Inspector Morse'' and, like that series, it is set in Oxford. Kevin Whately reprises his character Robert "Robbie" Lewis, who was Morse's sergeant in the original series. Lewis has now been promoted to detective inspector and is assisted by DS James Hathaway, portrayed by Laurence Fox, who was promoted to inspector before the seventh series. The series also stars Clare Holman as forensic pathologist Dr. Laura Hobson, likewise reprising her role from ''Inspector Morse''; and, from the seventh season, Angela Griffin as DS Lizzie Maddox. ''The Ruby in the Smoke'' (1985) is a novel by the English author Philip Pullman. This book went on to win the 1987 Lancashire Children's Book of the Year Award. ''The Day of the Triffids'' is a BBC drama made in 2009. It is a loose adaptation of John Wyndham's 1951 novel of the same title. The novel had previously been adapted in 1962 as a theatrical film and by the BBC in a 1981 series. Plot Part one Triffids are large carnivorous plants capable of vicious and intelligent behaviour and equipped with venomous stingers that they use to stun their prey before feeding on them. In the late 1970s in the jungles of Zaire, a woman is killed by a Triffid. In 2009, Bill Masen (Dougray Scott), the son of the woman killed, is a Triffid expert and tells the story of how the oils the Triffids produce came to be used as a new alternative fuel, putting an end to man-made global warming.
