Roger Daltrey
Roger Harry Daltrey (born 1 March 1944) is an English singer, musician and actor. He is a co-founder and the lead singer of the Rock music, rock band The Who. Daltrey's hit songs with The Who include "My Generation", "Pinball Wizard", "Won't Get Fooled Again", "Baba O'Riley" and "You Better You Bet". He began his solo career in 1973, while still a member of The Who. Since then he has released ten solo studio albums, five compilation albums, and one live album. Bad Attitude (album)
''Bad Attitude'' is the fourth studio album by American singer Meat Loaf, released in November 1984. Recorded in Britain, it features two songs by Jim Steinman, both previously recorded, and a duet with Roger Daltrey. According to Meat Loaf's autobiography, he approached Steinman about writing the entire album, but waiting for new songs wound up taking so long that Meat Loaf recorded two previously released Steinman songs and moved on with other writers. The album concentrates more on the hard rock side of Meat Loaf, was a minor success around the globe and released a few hit singles, the most successful being "Modern Girl". The US release in April 1985 from RCA Records features a slightly different track listing as well as alternate mixes for some songs. The album includes the singles "I Wouldn't Beg for Water" (US number 64) and "Machinery" (US number 57, UK number 38), as well as the UK single "Are You Man Enough". The album featured an early recording of the song "Wind Beneath My Wings", which would later be famously covered by Bette Midler and others. ''Running the Endless Mile'' is the second album by John Parr, released in 1986. The lead single " Blame It on the Radio" reached U.S. #88, the only song to reach the U.S. singles charts. The first track on the album, " Two Hearts", was taken from the soundtrack to the film ''American Anthem''. However, an earlier soundtrack hit, Parr's #1 hit of the previous summer "'' St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)''" from the film of the same title (and also on the Atlantic label) was ''not'' included on this album, which may have limited its sales (the album failed to crack the Top 200 in the U.S.). ''Under a Raging Moon'' is the sixth solo studio album by English singer Roger Daltrey, released in September 1985 by Atlantic Records. The album reached No. 42 on the US charts, and the single " After the Fire", written by Pete Townshend, reached No. 48. It includes a tribute to Keith Moon, former drummer of the Who who died in 1978, on the track " Under a Raging Moon". In Canada, the album reached No. 33 on the ''RPM'' Magazine charts, and "After the Fire" reached No. 53. "Under a Raging Moon" is a song by Roger Daltrey, the lead singer of The Who. This song is the tenth & title track on Daltrey's sixth solo album, ''Under a Raging Moon''. The single reached #43 in the UK and #10 on the Billboard's Mainstream Rock Charts, but failed to chart on the United States pop singles chart. The tune was written by John Parr (of St Elmo's Fire fame) and Julia Downes. It is a tribute to The Who's former drummer, Keith Moon, who died in 1978. It was said that The Who's bass player John Entwistle had wanted to play this song instead of "Won't Get Fooled Again" when the band performed at Live Aid in 1985, but guitarist Pete Townshend disagreed.
