Julia Alboredo
Julia Alboredo (born 12 January 1997) is a Brazilian chess player. She was awarded the title of Woman International Master in 2022. Alboredo is the 2020 Brazilian women's champion. Juliana Sayumi Terao (born 1991) is a Brazilian chess player. She received the FIDE titles of FIDE Master (FM) in 2017 and Woman International Master (WIM) in 2012. From 2014 until 2020 she was ranked as the best female chess player in Brazil. Her highest Elo rating system, rating was 2311, achieved in March 2017. She is six times Brazilian Chess Championship, Brazilian women's champion, a title she won in five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019. Jolanta Zawadzka
Jolanta Zawadzka (born 8 February 1987) is a Polish chess player with the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM). In 2004, she won the World Youth Chess Championship for girls U18. She won the women's Polish Chess Championship in 2006, 2011, 2015 and 2018. She won the gold medal with the Polish team in the European Team Chess Championship in Göteborg in 2005 and silver medals at the same competitions in Heraklion 2007 and Porto Carras 2011. Brazilian Chess Championship
Following are the official winners of the national Brazilian Chess Championships from 1927 to date. The 1998 championship was held 9–19 December in Itabirito, Minas Gerais State. The field of sixteen played a series of two-game single-elimination matches to determine the finalists. FIDE Master
FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Titles generally require a combination of Elo rating and norms (performance benchmarks in competitions including other titled players). Once awarded, titles are held for life except in cases of fraud or cheating. Open titles may be earned by all players, while women's titles are restricted to female players. Many strong female players hold both open and women's titles. FIDE also awards titles for arbiters, organizers and trainers. Women's Chess World Cup 2021
The Women's Chess World Cup 2021 was a 103-player single-elimination tournament, single-elimination chess tournament that took place in Sochi, Russia, from 12 July to 3 August 2021. It was the inaugural edition of a women's-only version of the Chess World Cup, FIDE World Cup. The tournament was held in parallel with the Chess World Cup 2021, an open tournament. The tournament formed part of the qualification for the Women's World Chess Championship 2022. The top three finishers, other than Women's World Chess Champion Ju Wenjun and players who have otherwise qualified, qualified for the Women's Candidates Tournament 2022. Format The format is a 7-round knockout event. 78 women play one another in the first round. The 39 that go through are joined in the second round by the top 25 seeds, who are given a bye for the first round. The losers of the two semi-finals will play one another for third place. 44th Chess Olympiad
The 44th Chess Olympiad (also known as the Indian Chess Olympiad), was organised by the FIDE, Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) in Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu, India from 28 July to 9 August 2022. It consisted of open and women's tournaments, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess. The event was initially supposed to take place in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, along with the Chess World Cup 2019, but was later moved to Moscow and scheduled for the period from 5 to 17 August 2020. However, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then relocated to Chennai following 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
