Sant Feliu De Guíxols
Sant Feliu de Guíxols () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Baix Empordà in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the Costa Brava and is an important port and tourist centre. The district abuts to the north, the upmarket s'Agaró resort built round the Sant Pol Beach. In addition to tourism and the port the cork industry is a traditionally local industry. The town contains a large monastery which now houses the town museum and is a protected historico-artistic monument. The C-253 road runs north near the coast from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Platja d'Aro and Palamós, while the C-65 road runs inland from the town. The GI-682 provides a dramatic cliff top drive to Tossa de Mar to the south. Sant Feliu de Guíxols is a staging point on the GR 92 long distance footpath, which runs the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Sardanes
The ''sardana'' (; plural ''sardanes'' in Catalan) is a Catalan musical genre typical of Catalan culture and danced in circle following a set of steps. The dance was originally from the Empordà region, but started gaining popularity throughout Catalonia from the late 19th century to beginning of the 20th century after the modernisation done by Josep Maria Ventura i Casas. Men and women join together in a circle by holding hands and facing inwards to dance either the historical ''sardana curta'' (with an approximate duration of 5 minutes) or the present-day ''sardana llarga'' (with a duration of approximately 12–13 minutes). Other more unusual sardanes are the ''sardana de lluïment'' and the ''sardana revessa''. The steps are meticulously counted as two- or three-step movements taken sideways within the circle. La Mà De Guido
La mà de Guido is a Catalan music publishing house in Barcelona, Spain founded in 1986 by the composer and musicologist Llorenç Balsach (b. 1953). The name La Mà de Guido comes from the Catalan translation of the Guidonian hand. The primary notability of La Mà de Guido is in the publishing of music scores and editions for Catalan composers, living and dead.
