Jukebox Fury
''Jukebox Fury'' is the seventh studio album by English rock band the Godfathers, released through their own Godfathers Recordings label on 4 March 2013. It is the band's first studio album since they reunited in 2008 and comes eighteen years after their previous studio album, 1995's ''Afterlife''. It is also the first and only Godfathers studio album to feature guitarist Del Bartle. Background The Godfathers' original members reformed for a reunion tour in 2008, but by 2009 the lineup had changed to feature original members Peter and Chris Coyne (vocals and bass, respectively), former Sid Presley Experience guitarist Del Bartle, and drummer Grant Nicholas, who played with the Godfathers in the late 1990s. The new lineup recorded the 2010 live album ''Shot Live at the 100 Club'', before entering the studio to work on what would become ''Jukebox Fury''. The Godfathers
The Godfathers are an English rock band from London, England, with strong influences from R&B and punk. Career The Godfathers were formed by Peter and Chris Coyne (vocals and bass, respectively) after the demise of The Sid Presley Experience in 1985, joined by Mike Gibson (guitar), Kris Dollimore (guitar) and George Mazur (drums). Peter Coyne had briefly worked as a music journalist from 1980–82 for ''ZigZag'' and ''Record Mirror''. Fellow TSPE member, and later Godfather, Del Bartle, went on to form The Unholy Trinity with drummer Kevin Murphy. After independent single releases produced by Vic Maile, and collected on their debut album, '' Hit by Hit'', they signed to Epic Records in 1987. ''Classic Rock'' is a British magazine and website dedicated to rock music, owned and published by Future. It was launched in October 1998 and is based in London. The magazine publishes 13 editions a year, mainly covering rock bands from the 60, 70s, 80s and 90s, with the likes of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith and Deep Purple amongst its most prominent cover stars. Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter and actor. Psychedelic Pop
Psychedelic pop (or acid pop) is pop music that contains musical characteristics associated with psychedelic music. Developing in the late 1960s, elements included " trippy" features such as fuzz guitars, tape manipulation, backwards recording, sitars, and Beach Boys-style harmonies, wedded to melodic songs with tight song structures. The style lasted into the early 1970s. It has seen revivals in subsequent decades by neo-psychedelic artists.
