Judy Pascoe
Judy Pascoe is the Australian author of the book ''Our Father Who Art in the Tree''. The book was made into the 2010 feature film '' The Tree''. Biography Born and educated in Brisbane, Australia, Judy spent several years as an acrobat, touring with Circus Oz, before turning to writing and stand-up comedy. She is married to English actor Robert Llewellyn, known for his role as Kryten in '' Red Dwarf'', in which she appeared in the episode " Camille". They have two children and live in Gloucestershire, England. Pascoe was in Circus Oz from 1983 to 1987. Her main act was balancing a chopstick and three eggs on her nose. After leaving the circus she moved to the UK and did a series of solo performances on the UK comedy circuit, touring with people like Jo Brand, Alan Davies and Jack Dee. Robert Llewellyn
Robert Llewellyn (born 10 March 1956) is a British actor, comedian, presenter and writer. He plays the mechanoid Kryten in the sci-fi television sitcom ''Red Dwarf'' and formerly presented the engineering gameshow ''Scrapheap Challenge''. He has also founded and hosts a YouTube series, ''Fully Charged''. Early life Llewellyn was born in Northampton, England. Early career Llewellyn's first foray into the world of show business started out as a hobby, organising a few amateur cabaret evenings in a riverside warehouse overlooking Tower Bridge in London. The shows were a great success and he eventually helped form an alternative comedy theatre group called The Joeys. Within six months, he had stopped working as a shoemaker and started performing professionally with the group alongside Bernie Evans, Nigel Ordish and Graham Allum. ''The Tree'' is a French-Australian 2010 film co-produced between Australia and France. It was filmed in the small town of Boonah in Queensland, Australia, and follows the lives of Dawn (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and her four children after the unexpected death of her husband Peter (Aden Young). The film is an adaptation of the 2002 debut novel '' Our Father Who Art in the Tree'' by Australian writer and performer Judy Pascoe. Circus Oz is a contemporary circus company based in Australia, collectively owned by its Membership, founded in 1977. Its shows incorporate theatre, satire, rock 'n' roll and a uniquely Australian humour. Kryten
Kryten is a fictional character in the British science fiction situation comedy ''Red Dwarf''. The name ''Kryten'' is a reference to the head butler in the J.M. Barrie play ''The Admirable Crichton''. Originally referred to as a Series III mechanoid, he is later described as a 4000 Series, or Series 4000. In their original plan for the series, Rob Grant and Doug Naylor had specified that there would be no aliens and no robots. Following the success of the first appearance by the Kryten character, Naylor convinced Grant to bring him back. In the character's first appearance, originally only intended as a one-off, Kryten was played by actor David Ross (actor), David Ross but the popularity of the character meant that Kryten was introduced as a regular in Series III.
