Judy Maddren
Judy Maddren is a Canadian radio announcer who works primarily for CBC Radio. She first joined CBC in 1972, and worked as a consumer affairs reporter; at that time, CBC was not hiring women as announcers. World Report (CBC)
''World Report'' is a Canadian radio news program, which airs weekdays at 5, 6, 7 and 8 AM, and Saturdays and Sundays at 6, 7, 8 and 9 AM, on CBC Radio One. It currently lasts 10 minutes and focuses on major national and international news, allowing the local and regional programming during those timeslots to primarily focus their content on their own regions. The program's current weekday anchor as of November 21, 2022 is Marcia Young, and the weekend anchor is John Northcott. The programme began in 1958 as ''The World at Eight'' and was called ''The World at Seven'', ''The World at Eight'' or ''The World at Nine'', depending on the hour and time zone in which it was heard, until October 1982 when it was renamed ''World Report''. Peter Elliott (Canadian Priest)
Peter Elliott (born 19 May 1954 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a Canadian priest. He is the former (retired) rector of Christ Church Cathedral and Dean of New Westminster in the Anglican Church of Canada. Elliott grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario. In 1976 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and philosophy from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. Subsequently, he attended and graduated from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 1981 he was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Niagara. Prior to coming to Vancouver he was Director of Ministries in Church and Society with the Anglican Church of Canada. In 1994, Elliott was made rector of Christ Church Cathedral and Dean of New Westminster. He retired in October 2019 after 25 years. Michael Enright (broadcaster)
Michael Enright (born 1943) is a Canadian journalist and radio broadcaster. A high school dropout, Enright became a journalist after taking a University of Toronto extension course. As a journalist he held numerous positions at organizations such as ''The Globe and Mail'', ''Time'' and ''Maclean's''. He is best known for his long tenure as a CBC Radio host. Enright was the host of CBC Radio One's ''The Sunday Edition'' from 2000 to 2020 and previously hosted ''As It Happens'' from 1987 until 1997 and co-hosted '' This Morning'' from 1997 to 2000. From 2009 until 2019, he hosted the archive show '' Rewind'' on CBC Radio One. He retired from CBC radio in 2020.
