Judson is a former unincorporated community in southern Alberta, Canada within the County of Warner No. 5. It is located on Alberta Highway 61, Highway 61 between the villages of Stirling, Alberta, Stirling and Wrentham, Alberta, Wrentham, approximately southeast of the City of Lethbridge. Burton–Judson Courts
Burton–Judson Courts (BJ) is a dormitory located on the University of Chicago campus. The neo-Gothic style structure was designed by the Philadelphia architectural firm of Zantzinger, Borie & Medary, and was completed in 1931 at a cost of $1,756,287. Burton–Judson Courts is built around two courtyards that are named after the university's second and third presidents, Harry Pratt Judson and Ernest DeWitt Burton. Burton-Judson contains six houses: Chamberlin, Coulter, Dodd-Mead, Linn-Mathews, Salisbury, and Vincent. In addition to student rooms, the building contains a library, lounge rooms, and apartments for resident heads and the resident deans. Judson Studios
Judson Studios is a fine arts studio specializing in stained glass located in the Highland Park section (also known as Garvanza) of northeast Los Angeles. The stained glass studio was founded in the Mott Alley section of downtown Los Angeles in the mid-1890s by English-born artist William Lees Judson and his three sons. It moved to its current location in 1920 and remains in operation as a family-run business. The Judson Studios building was named a Historic-Cultural Landmark by the City of Los Angeles in 1969 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Judson Memorial Church
The Judson Memorial Church is located on Washington Square South between Thompson Street and Sullivan Street, near Gould Plaza, opposite Washington Square Park, in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA and with the United Church of Christ. The church sanctuary, its campanile tower and the attached Judson Hall were designated landmarks by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1966, and were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Judson Health Center
Judson Health Center, founded in 1921, was an early New York City Community Health Center inspired by the Rev. Alonzo Ray Petty of the Baptist Judson Memorial Church located at 55 Washington Square South. Petty appealed to fellow Baptist and physician Eleanor A. Campbell to start the health and dental clinic, initially located in the church's basement, in order to provide care to the many Italian immigrants living on the west side of lower Manhattan. Many of these 45,000 residents suffered from poor nutrition; rickets was prevalent among many of the area's children. The health center quickly outgrew its space and in 1922 moved to Judson House at 237 Thompson Street. Judson Dance Theater was a collective of dancers, composers, and visual artists who performed at the Judson Memorial Church in Greenwich Village, Manhattan New York City between 1962 and 1964. The artists involved were avant garde experimentalists who rejected the confines of Modern dance practice and theory, inventing as they did the precepts of Postmodern dance. Judson University
Judson University is a private Baptist university in Elgin, Illinois. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. Judson was formed out of the liberal arts component of Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. When the seminary moved from Chicago to Lombard, Illinois, it was decided to make the college separate from the seminary. Originally known as Judson College, it was named after Adoniram Judson, the first American Baptist missionary to foreign shores. The university has campuses in Elgin and Rockford, Illinois, and a student body of approximately 1,300. Judson College became Judson University on August 28, 2007. Judson School
The Judson School was a K–12 boarding school in Paradise Valley, Arizona. It closed in 2000 after more than 70 years of operation. It was owned and operated by Henry and Barbara Wick, along with their son, Hank Wick. In 1928, Judson School opened with seven boys as students. Judson was the state's oldest independent college preparatory school. Henry Wick, who had been teaching at Judson School since 1938, purchased the school from George Judson in 1945. In the late 1940s, Henry Wick began offering classes in English as a Second Language. This brought students from all around the world representing, at times, 30 different countries. Girls were admitted to Judson School for the first time in 1956. Henry Wick sold the 55-acre Judson School property to Cachet Homes in the fall of 1999. Judson High School
Judson High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Converse, Texas, United States, 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. It was established in 1959 as part of the Judson Independent School District, and is currently classified as a 6A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL).
