The judo competition for men and women at the 2007 Pan American Games was held from July 19 to 22, 2007, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There were seven weight divisions, for both men and women. Luciano Ribeiro Corrêa (born 25 November 1982) is a Brazilian judoka, who competes in the -100 kg (half heavyweight) category. He was world champion in the 2007 World Judo Championships. Keith Morgan (judoka)
Keith Morgan (born November 12, 1973, in Calgary, Alberta) is a retired judoka from Canada, who competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics, and won four medals at the Pan American Games. Sporting career Morgan represented his native country at four consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was affiliated with the Club de Judo Shikodan in Montreal. He is the twin brother of Colin Morgan, who competed as a judoka at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Morgan was inducted into Judo Canada's Hall of Fame in 2013. Keith is also a sponsored athlete of Healy Ford. Oreidis Despaigne Terry (born 20 September 1981) is a male judoka from Cuba, winner of the Pan American Games men's half heavyweight division at the 2007 Games, he also won the bronze medal at the 2003 Pan American Games and at the 2007 and 2010 World Championships. He represented his native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. At the 2008 Summer Olympics he reached the 3rd round, losing to Jang Sungho. Rick Hawn
Rick Hawn (born September 15, 1976) is a former Olympic judoka and professional mixed martial artist. A professional MMA fighter from 2009 - 2015, Hawn most notably competed for Bellator MMA, where he won the Bellator Season 6 Lightweight Tournament and the Bellator Season 9 Welterweight Tournament. Background Hawn was born in Chicago, but when he was young, his family moved to Eugene, Oregon. At age 12, Hawn began training judo when his father got back into the sport. Hawn continued to compete in judo while attending South Eugene High School, where he also competed in wrestling, and also football in his senior year. Olympic career In 1996, after graduating from high school, Hawn qualified to live at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
