Judith Elaine Hewitt is a Finnish-New Zealand bio-statistician and soft-sediment benthic ecologist. She currently works at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, and have with an association with the University of Auckland. The National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research or NIWA ( mi, Taihoro Nukurangi), is a Crown Research Institute of New Zealand. Established in 1992, NIWA conducts research across a broad range of disciplines in the environmental sciences.
