Jude Idada
Jude Idada is a Nigerian screenwriter, actor, poet, playwright and producer best known for writing the feature film, ''The Tenant''. He has also produced and written several other short films and books. Early life and education Idada, a descent of Edo, was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Idada was a pure science student in high school without any background in the arts. He initially applied to study medicine in the university but later, he changed his course of study to agricultural economics. After a couple of semesters in agriculture, Idada quit studying agricultural economics and stayed at home for nine months after which, he got admitted to the University of Ibadan to study theater arts where he had his first degree. The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) is a non-profit organization that promotes Nigerian literature. It represents Nigerian creative writers at home and abroad. Nigeria Prize for Literature is a Nigerian literary award given annually since 2004 to honor literary erudition by Nigerian authors. The award rotates among four genres; fiction, poetry, drama and children's literature, repeating the cycle every four years. With the total prize value of to individual winner, it is the biggest literary award in Africa and one of the richest literary awards in the world. History The Prize was established in 2004 and sponsored by Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas company.
