Juan Manuel García (Argentine Footballer)
Juan Manuel García (born 14 November 1992) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Greek Super League club Volos. Career García had youth spells with Gimnasia y Esgrima, Independiente, Santamarina and Banfield. He was loaned out in 2013 to Primera B Nacional side Brown, with his Brown and professional debut coming in a league defeat to Douglas Haig on 1 September 2013. Four matches later, García scored the first goal of his career in a 3–3 draw with Unión Santa Fe. He scored two goals in a game for the first time on 2 April 2014 in the Copa Argentina vs. Villa Cubas. Brown were relegated in 2013–14, while Banfield were promoted as champions. Club Atlético Douglas Haig is an Argentine football club from Pergamino, Buenos Aires Province, which plays in the country's Third Division. The club is named in honour of Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, a victorious General from World War I History In November 1918 a group of British workers on the Argentinian Central Railroad set up a football team to take part in the local soccer championship. The 2018–19 Argentine Primera B Nacional was the 34th season of the Argentine second division. The season began on 25 August 2018 and ended on 8 June 2019. Twenty-five teams competed in the league, seventeen returning from the 2017–18 season, four teams that were relegated from Primera División and two teams promoted from Federal A and B Metropolitana. 2014 Primera B Metropolitana
The 2013-14 season, is the 29º Primera B Metropolitana season since it became part of the third tier of the Argentine football league system. The tournament is reserved for teams directly affiliated to the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA), while teams affiliated to AFA through local leagues (known as "indirectly affiliated to AFA") have to play the Torneo Federal A, which is the other third tier competition. For this season, AFA decided to change the structure in the Argentine football league system, and exceptionally 3 teams will be promoted to the next season of Primera B Nacional and there will be no relegations for this season. Primera B Metropolitana is one of two professional leagues that form the third level of the Argentine football league system. The division is made up of 17 clubs mainly from the city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area, Greater Buenos Aires. Originally created as the second division, it became the third level after a restructuring of the system in 1985 that ended with the creation of Primera B Nacional, set as the second division since then.
