Juan Eduardo Hohberg
Juan Eduardo Hohberg (8 October 1926 – 30 April 1996) was an Argentine-born Uruguayan football player and coach. He is best remembered as a player for Peñarol (1949-59) where he won 6 Uruguayan Primera División title wins (1949, 1951, 1953, 1954, 1958, 1959), and for playing for Uruguay at the 1954 FIFA World Cup - where Uruguay finished 4th. He was also Manager (coach) of Uruguay at the 1970 World Cup - they finished 4th He is the grandfather of Peruvian footballer Alejandro Hohberg. Club career Hohberg started his playing career in 1946 with Central Córdoba before joining Rosario Central in 1947. In 1948 Hohberg moved to Uruguay to join Peñarol where he would play until 1959. Peñarol won six league titles during his time with the club. Towards the end of his playing career he had spells with Racing Club de Montevideo and Cúcuta Deportivo in Colombia. Club Sport Emelec is an Ecuadorian sports club based in Guayaquil that is best known for their professional football team. The football team plays in the Ecuadorian Serie A, the highest level of professional football in the country. Emelec has won fourteen Serie A titles and one of the division B, holding the record of doing so in all decades in which the Serie A has been played. Sándor Kocsis
Sándor Péter Kocsis (; ; 21 September 1929 – 22 July 1979) was a Hungarian footballer who played for Ferencváros TC, Budapest Honvéd, Young Fellows Zürich, FC Barcelona and Hungary as a striker. During the 1950s, along with Ferenc Puskás, Zoltán Czibor, József Bozsik and Nándor Hidegkuti, he was a member of the ''Mighty Magyars''. After the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, he moved to Spain where he became a member of the FC Barcelona team of the late 1950s. Kocsis was a prolific goalscorer for both Budapest Honvéd and Hungary. While playing for Honvéd, he was the top goalscorer in any European league in both 1952 and 1954. Alejandro Hohberg
Alejandro Hohberg González (born 1991 in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian football player who currently plays for Club Sporting Cristal. Hoberg is considered to be an important player in Peruvian domestic football, having played for some of the biggest clubs in Peru; including the 3 Lima giants - Universitario, Alianza Lima and his current side Sporting Cristal. 1954 FIFA World Cup
The 1954 FIFA World Cup was the fifth edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football tournament for senior men's national teams of the nations affiliated to FIFA. It was held in Switzerland from 16 June to 4 July. Switzerland was selected as the host country in July 1946. At the tournament several all-time records for goal-scoring were set, including the highest average number of goals scored per game. The tournament was won by West Germany, who defeated tournament favourites Hungary 3–2 in the final, their first World Cup title. Club Atlético Peñarol (; English: ''Peñarol Athletic Club'') —also known as ''Carboneros'', ''Aurinegros,'' and (familiarly) ''Manyas''— is a Uruguayan sports club from Montevideo.
