João Baião
João Luís Baião dos Santos (born October 8, 1963) is a Portuguese television presenter, entertainer and actor. Early life and career He was born in Buraca, Amadora, a satellite town close to Lisbon. As a child, João Baião played soccer, gymnastics, and was part of a body of scouts. Since a yearly age he embraced in theatrical performances. Then, together with his brother, he was part of an amateur theater group. He dropped out school and wrote a café-concert, winning a competition organized by a bar. Later, he was eventually invited to audition for the National Theatre D. Maria II in Lisbon, for the play Mother Courage and took a major role. He was then invited by Irene Cruz and João Lourenço to join the cast of a new theatre group, the Open Theater (Teatro Aberto), also in Lisbon. Buraca () is a former civil parish, located in the municipality of Amadora, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish of Águas Livres. As of the 2011 Census, it had a population of 15 892. It had an area of 1.66 square kilometers. The southern area of the parish included the first Decathlon store in Portugal, integrated in the main shopping areas of the Lisbon metropolitan area. Luís Filipe Valente Lá Féria Orta, known professionally as Filipe La Féria (born May 17, 1945 in Vila Nova de São Bento), is a Portuguese director, producer, and screenwriter for television and theatre. Career He began his theatrical activity in 1963 as an actor at the National Theater, and with Amélia Rey Colaço belonged to theatre companies such as Teatro Estúdio de Lisboa, Teatro Experimental de Cascais, Casa da Comédia and Teatro da Cornucópia. Amadora
Amadora () is a municipality and urbanized city in the northwest of the Lisbon metropolitan area and 10 km from central Lisbon. The population in 2011 was 175,136, in an area of 23.78 km² (9.2 sq mi). It is the most densely populated municipality in Portugal.
