He was created by Dez Skinn, Steve Parkhouse, Paul Neary and John Stokes, and first appeared in '' The Incredible Hulk Weekly'' #57 (April 1980). A now-deceased hero, the sidekick of Captain Britain, Jackdaw was an Otherworld elf. Jackdaw had been mortally wounded earlier in his adventures, but was revived by Merlyn and given new powers and a new costume. He was permanently slain later on Earth-238 by The Fury. Jackdaw was literally torn in half by one of the Fury's energy bolts and expired shortly thereafter in Captain Britain's arms. Jackdaw expressed a belief that Merlyn would resurrect him. Destin Daniel Cretton is an American filmmaker. He is best known for his films '' Short Term 12'' (2013), '' The Glass Castle'' (2017), '' Just Mercy'' (2019) and the Marvel Studios film '' Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'' (2021). He has also been tapped to direct Marvel Studios' '' Avengers: The Kang Dynasty'' (2025). Early life Cretton was born in 1978 in Haiku, Hawaii on the island of Maui. He is of half-Japanese descent. He was home-schooled by his Christian mother. His sister Joy is a costume designer who has worked on several of Destin's projects. David Callaham
David Elias Callaham (born October 24, 1977) is an American screenwriter and producer. Life Callaham was born in Fresno, California on October 24, 1977 to Lee Hsu and Michael Callaham. He has a brother, Gregory. He is of Chinese descent through his mother. He studied English at the University of Michigan and graduated in 1999. In 2009, Callaham married Bree Tichy. They have at least one child. He is a Brown Belt in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu under Eddie Bravo.
