Joyce Beetuan Koh
Joyce Beetuan Koh (born June 9, 1968) is a Singaporean composer, sound artist, and educator. Koh's Career Koh studied composition at King's College London under the tutorship of David Lumsdaine. She also studied at The University of York with Nicola Lefanu, where she received her Ph.D. in 1997. Other notable events in Koh's career have included receiving a Nadia Boulanger scholarship, working alongside composer Brian Ferneyhough in 1995, and composing as a collaborationist with composers Tristan Murail in 1996 and with Hans Tutschku and Mikhail Malt in 1997–98. In subsequent years, Kho pivoted her career toward music education. Her first position in academia came in 2004, when she was offered a fellowship in residence at a small German music school, Herrenhaus Edenkoben. In 2007, Koh returned to her country of origin, Singapore, and became a founding faculty member in the music department of School of the arts, Singapore. Frode Haltli (born 15 May 1975 in Levanger), is a Norwegian accordion player. Biography Haltli started to play the accordion at the age of seven and over the following few years he won several national competitions and scholarships and was awarded first prize in Norwegian TV's ' ''1991''. He studied the accordion at The Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo from 1994 and at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen, where he debuted with a concert in 2000. Nieuw Ensemble
The Nieuw Ensemble ( or ; English: New Ensemble) is a Dutch musical ensemble. It was founded in 1980 in Amsterdam. It has a unique instrumental structure, using plucked instruments such as mandolin, guitar and harp in combination with wind, string and percussion. Ed Spanjaard has been the principal conductor since 1982. Almost 500 pieces have been written for the ensemble. The BBC Symphony Orchestra (BBC SO) is a British orchestra based in London. Founded in 1930, it was the first permanent salaried orchestra in London, and is the only one of the city's five major symphony orchestras not to be self-governing. The BBC SO is the principal broadcast orchestra of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
