José Pin Arboledas
José Pin Arboledas (Madrid, Spain 1944) is a Spanish economist and politician. After gaining a degree in economics from the University of Valencia, he became involved in politics, helping to found the People's Party (Spain, 1976), People's Party. That party, not to be confused with the current grouping of the same name, joined with other parties to form the Union of the Democratic Centre (Spain), Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD) in 1977. As a UCD member, at the 1977 Spanish general election, 1977 General Election, he was elected to the Congress of Deputies (Spain), Spanish Congress of Deputies representing Valencia (Spanish Congress Electoral District), Valencia Province and was re-elected in the subsequent election in 1979 Spanish general election, 1979. Madrid Assembly
The Assembly of Madrid or Madrid Assembly ( es, Asamblea de Madrid) is the unicameral autonomous legislature of the Autonomous Community of Madrid since the approval of the Madrid Charter of Autonomy in 1983. It is elected every four years during the Spanish Regional and Municipal elections, as the Community of Madrid Charter of Autonomy does not recognise the right to call early elections (as in the Basque Country, Catalonia, Galicia and Andalusia), save for exceptional situations like the scandal that deadlocked the May 2003 Assembly and forced fresh elections in October 2003. According to the Charter, the Assembly is empowered to draw the Madrid Regional legislation, to control the Regional Government's actions and to elect the President of the Community of Madrid.
