José Mostany
José Antonio "Pepe" Mostany (born 13 January 1963), is an Argentinian former rugby union player. He was the first Club Manuel Belgrano player to play for the Pumas. Career Mostany played for Club Manuel Belgrano in the Nacional de Clubes and had three caps in the 1987 Rugby World Cup The 1987 Rugby World Cup was the first Rugby World Cup. It was co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia – New Zealand hosted 21 matches (17 pool stage matches, two quarter-finals, the third-place play-off and the final) while Australia hosted 11 ..., playing all the three pool stage matches, with the tournament being his only time where he played for the Argentine national team. Club Manuel Belgrano is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club. The rugby team currently plays at Torneo de la URBA Grupo II, the second division of the Unión de Rugby de Buenos Aires league system. The hockey team plays at the tournaments organised by the Buenos Aires Hockey Association. The institution is headquartered in the neighborhood of Saavedra, Buenos Aires, while its rugby stadium is located in Ingeniero Maschwitz, Greater Buenos Aires. The club has around 700 rugby players and 250 field hockey players registered. The Torneo Nacional de Clubes is a club rugby union competition in Argentina, organised by the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR). The Nacional de Clubes is the main club competition in Argentine rugby, being contested by a total of 16 teams, 8 from Buenos Aires and 8 from the rest of the provinces of Argentina. There is also a second division, "Nacional de Clubes B", with a similar format. History From 1993 to 2008, the competition involved 16 clubs, which were divided into four zones. The top two clubs of each zone qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition. The 16 best placed clubs in their respective regional championships were eligible to play the Nacional de Clubes. The 1987 Rugby World Cup was the first Rugby World Cup. It was co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia – New Zealand hosted 21 matches (17 pool stage matches, two quarter-finals, the third-place play-off and the final) while Australia hosted 11 matches (seven pool matches, two quarter-finals and both semi-finals).
